I want to share something personal today.
Since January this year, I’ve had 12 private counselling sessions to support my mental health and well-being. I don’t broadcast it all over social media, but I do talk about it when the conversation naturally arises. Having a private space to open up, to talk, to be heard, and to process difficult emotions is an incredible experience—one that has helped me navigate life in a healthier way.
Beyond therapy, I’ve been proactive about my well-being. I’ve attended a men’s retreat, practiced yoga, journaled, played sports, meditated, read insightful books, and had deep, meaningful conversations with trusted people.
I’m sharing this because mental health care looks different for everyone. There’s no single path, no universal formula—just the one that works for you.

3 Practical Things We Can Do
- Reach Out to Someone Close
A friend, a loved one, a colleague, a family member—sometimes the people closest to us are struggling, and we don’t even realise it. A simple message, a call, or just showing up can make a huge difference. - Do Something Positive for Yourself
Go for a walk, move your body, journal your thoughts, open up to someone, or book a session with a counselor or therapist. Taking care of the world starts with taking care of yourself. - Define What Mental Health Means to You
It’s great that “mental health” has become a widely recognised term, but it’s only meaningful if we understand it for ourselves. What does it mean to you? How do you support your own emotional well-being? We all have mental and physical health—both deserve our attention.
Lastly, let’s remember: being human means feeling all the emotions—😁😂😊😑😕😖😢😭—and that’s okay.
Take care of yourself. You matter.
