A Global Team Event for 120 People
How we created an innovative and strategic 2 day experience for their
employees across Europe, Japan and the United States.

Summary
This was a rare opportunity for everyone being in one location without technology or time-zones being a barrier – but how do 120 people network efficiently and meaningful in a few hours? How do people know who people are and which role they’re in? Or on a more human level, what common ground to people have to strike up interesting conversations? Or with regards to driving innovation, who are people that think differently that could be ideal collaborators in the organisation?
Feedback from Attendees
Here are just a few of the resounding “YES” replies we got when we asked if people felt like the event was worth it…

“The facilitators were great as well, the meeting organisation was superb!”
“The 5 x key questions during World Cafe session were great and challenging ones: I hope to get a brief summary of the outcome and move forward in this direction for next coming seminars. I believe we should asked those questions periodically and they are really showing by themselves the strategy and the company direction. In summary, great job!”

“I felt empowered to use my creativity to improve our company”
“It was really a great seminar, with great atmosphere, warm involvement and team spirit. I was really impressed by the “Map of the Culture” concept. Also the idea to write down hobbies, dreams, fun facts was brilliant and able to bring me the possibility to know better colleagues, under different perspective”

“We need these events to get to know each other! A team is not an org chart it is people who know each others strength and weaknesses”
Building relationships in a fun and meaningful way
Part 1 – Interactive Networking
With careful preparation ahead of time, we designed activities that would allow for organic mixing and tactical connections, combined with creative outputs that would be displayed throughout the experience – extending the impact of the networking across the 2 days.
Of course, there is only so far we can go in orchestrating how human beings connect, so we led it in a way that felt fun and creative to maximise engagement. After that, it was beers by the ocean and the magic of coffee chats!
Finding solutions to burning issues
Part 2 – World Cafe Session
Every CEO and Executive team wrestle with big questions. Our task was to draw out the 5 biggest questions that were currently unanswered and are key to driving the business and the desired culture in the next few years. Using an interactive World Cafe format, we guided a bespoke process which enabled every member of the organisation to become innovators, futurists and problem-solvers, shedding light and inspiration on some of the challenges keeping the Executive team awake at night!
The process culminated in a select group of people representing each ‘killer question’ and presenting the insights and ideas back to the Executives and the whole company. Being transparent and open with the organisation about the big challenges, also created a sense of shared accountability to rally together to not only find solutions, but implement them in various parts of the organisation. The final step was creating a 30 Day Action plan to keep the momentum going after the event.
Connecting people and creative thinking
Part 3- Team-Building Challenge
Over the course of 3 hours, 120 people were divided into 12 teams to compete for the illustrious Creativity Award! With 10 challenges to complete, it was time to roll up the sleeves, get the creative juices flowing and have some fun along the way. What better way to connect with colleagues than in the midst of some creative anarchy? The challenges were designed to foster collaboration and develop creativity skills that help organisations thrive in a fast-paced, ever changing world.
Challenges included creating sustainable sculptures from ‘found materials’ that represented the company ethos, writing Haiku poems with advice to the younger generation and using AI to step into the future. Crowned the winners, the red team showed exemplary teamwork, imagination and resourcefulness!
